How Long Does It Take to Rank in Google
As every marketer knows, improving your Google ranking is no easy task. It takes a lot of hard work, patience, dedication, and – most importantly – time to get to the top. But how much time exactly?
The short answer is: it depends. But that’s the last thing you want to hear, I’m sure. Luckily, thanks to a comprehensive study carried out by Ahrefs, we can give you a more concrete answer.
Ahrefs first calculated that the average Top 10 ranking page is 2+ years old, while pages that rank at position #1 are almost 3 years old on average.
The majority of the “lucky” 5.7% pages that ranked in the Top 10 search results for at least 1 keyword managed to do so in approximately 61 to 182 days.
So what does this all mean for newly published pages? Check out the infographic below by The Website Group to learn more about the Ahrefs study.
